Title: Enterprise Data Architect (SAP/ERP Data Architecture) - Remote Duration: 12 months with strong potential for extension Location: Remote (Onboarding onsite; occasional onsite meetings possible) Only W2 candidates are eligible for this position. Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.
This position requires U.S. Citizens only to meet the DoD requirements.
Role Overview: This is a senior-level Data Architect supporting an enterprise ERP modernization effort (SAP S/4HANA) and broader cloud data platform transformation. The individual will help define and implement client's future-state data architecture.
Key Requirements (Must-Have):
• Please focus on candidates with the following:• 15 years of experience in data architecture / data engineering• Strong cloud data platform experience (Snowflake, Databricks, Data Lakes/Lakehouse)• Proven data migration experience (on-prem cloud and/or cloud cloud)• Experience with ERP data environments, ideally SAP (S/4HANA, Datasphere, BTP) or Oracle ERP• Deep understanding of:• o Data architecture and modeling• o Data integration (ETL/ELT, streaming)• o Enterprise data platforms• Experience working with cross-functional teams (functional, infrastructure, business)• Strong communication skills; ability to work with senior stakeholders
Preferred / Nice-to-Have• SAP data architecture experience (highly preferred)• Oracle SAP migration experience• Data governance / data catalog experience• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled data platforms• Previous federal / DOE / national lab experience• Prioritize candidates who have led architecture efforts, not just supported
Screening Notes• This is an architect-level role, not a developer• Candidates must have hands-on cloud data architecture experience (no exceptions)• Prior large-scale migration experience is critical
