Entry Level Facilities Maintenance Technician

Vadnais Heights, MN

1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (Occasional Overtime/Weekends)

Pay: $25-$30/hr depending on experience

Position OverviewJoin H.B. Fuller’s Willow Lake campus as an Entry Level Facilities & Maintenance Technician, where you’ll support daily operations and learn the fundamentals of building systems. This hands-on role offers training and experience in a collaborative technical environment. You’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace while growing your skills in facilities maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform basic tasks: filter changes, light bulb replacements, and equipment cleaning

• Support workspace organization and minor repairs

• Assist technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs

• Report facility issues (e.g., leaks, temperature changes)

• Maintain mechanical rooms and supply areas

• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE

• Set up work areas for contractors/vendors

• Track inventory and restock supplies

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• 0–3 years of related experience (internships/part-time welcome)

• Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely

• Willingness to obtain MN State Special Boiler License

Preferred Requirements

• Vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or building maintenance

• Familiarity with hand tools and basic repairs

• Exposure to safety practices (e.g., Lockout-Tagout)

• Interest in long-term facilities career

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
