Job Description

Entry Level Project Estimator- Civil Construction- NoVA

The Entry Level Project Estimator- Civil Construction- NoVA will:

Assist in preparing detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for civil sitework and land development projects.
Review construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and scope requirements.
Support the estimating team in developing competitive project proposals.
Utilize estimating software such as PlanSwift and earthwork modeling tools to perform quantity takeoffs.
Research material pricing, subcontractor quotes, and labor costs.
Participate in constructability reviews and feasibility evaluations.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure estimates align with project execution plans.
Help maintain estimate databases and historical project cost information.
Participate in a rotational development program that includes exposure to field operations and project management.
Learn best practices in bidding strategy, risk evaluation, and cost analysis.

The Entry Level Project Estimator- Civil Construction- NoVA will have:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
Ideal for candidates with 0-2 years of construction experience who are looking to developer their careers.
Internship experience within construction is a plus.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with Excel and learning construction software platforms.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.
Desire to grow into a long-term estimating or preconstruction career path.
