Job Description
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are• not limited to:• ï· Safety Program Support: Assist in the implementation of safety programs and• initiatives to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with local, state, and• federal regulations.• ï· Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections of the plant to identify potential• hazards and safety concerns (e.g., machinery, electrical systems, chemical handling)• and help ensure corrective actions are implemented.• ï· Incident Reporting: Support the tracking and documentation of workplace accidents,• near-misses, injuries, and safety concerns. Participate in investigations to determine• root causes and assist in recommending improvements.• ï· Training and Education: Assist in the scheduling and coordination of employee• training on environmental permits, safety procedures, emergency response, and the• proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).• ï· PPE Management: Help monitor and maintain PPE inventory, ensuring proper• distribution, usage, and compliance with safety standards across the plant.• ï· Safety Awareness: Collaborate with the facility EHS Manager to promote safety• culture and awareness through signage, meetings, and ongoing communication.• ï· Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring the plant remains compliant with OSHA,• EPA, SC DES and other regulatory agencies.• ï· Documentation and Reporting: Support the preparation and submission of required• safety and environmental reports to governmental agencies and internal• stakeholders.• ï· Emergency Preparedness: Assist in emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire drills,• evacuation procedures) and maintenance of emergency response plans.• ï· Waste and Environmental Compliance: Support efforts to minimize environmental• impact by assisting with waste management practices.• ï· Continuous Improvement: Participate in safety meetings and contribute ideas to• improve EHS policies and practices within the plant.• ï· Other: Other duties as directed by the Conway Facility EHS Manager and the Aalberts IPSA EHS Director.
