In this role, you will support all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs across our manufacturing operations, helping to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a strong culture of safety.You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs. This includes conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, managing regulatory reporting requirements, coordinating safety audits, and driving corrective actions to reduce workplace hazards.If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy working closely with operations, quality, and leadership teams to promote safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.About UsJoin us in bringing Grand Haven's newest manufacturing facility to life! We are building up our manufacturing capacity in Grand Haven, MI, and you will be on the ground floor, helping shape the company's direction from its earliest stages. If you're excited about seeing tangible results from your work, and you thrive in a dynamic environment where growth is constant, joining Kaidi could be the journey of a lifetime!Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements

Conduct safety audits, job hazard analyses, and routine inspections

Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis and follow-up actions

Deliver safety training and onboarding for all employees

Maintain accurate EHS documentation (SDS, OSHA 300 logs, permits, etc.)Collaborate with teams on safety improvements and project planning

Champion environmental initiatives-waste reduction, energy savings, and pollution prevention

Support internal and external EHS audits and ISO certifications Track and report EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce injury rates

Support operations in two states with occasional travel

Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

Produce safe-work instructions and training materials for shop floor use

Other duties as assigned

QualificationsBachelor's degree in EH&S, Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and EHS best practices

Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of the workforce

Self-directed individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and EHS software systems

Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at various organizational levels internally and externally

Preferred QualificationsCertifications like CSP, ASP, or CHMM are a big plus

Experience with Laser Cutting, Powder Coating, and FinishingSteel furniture manufacturing experience
