The EHS Specialist provides technical expertise, regulatory compliance support, and program development across environmental and safety disciplines. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while supporting continuous improvement of environmental and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental Compliance Management- Conduct stormwater inspections, manage discharge permitting, maintain SPCC plans, and oversee above‑ground storage tank compliance.
  • Regulatory Interpretation & Application- Interpret environmental and safety laws and apply them to operational processes; design compliant programs and procedures.
  • EHS Program Development- Support and enhance programs such as Chemical Emergency Response, Hazard Communication, and other safety initiatives.
  • Program Innovation- Develop creative solutions and new concepts to strengthen EHS systems and performance.
  • Reporting & Documentation- Prepare clear, professional reports, findings, and recommendations for the EHS Manager.
  • Vendor Coordination- Assist in managing vendor relationships, evaluating performance, and ensuring service quality.
  • Technical Expertise- Apply knowledge of chemistry, biology, and environmental management to support compliance and operational needs.
  • Project Management- Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communication Excellence- Deliver high‑quality written reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • GMP Compliance- Ensure environmental and safety tasks align with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Technical Tools- Utilize Microsoft Office and other digital tools to support environmental and safety operations.
  • This position will report to the Associate Director of EHS AMPD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental / Natural Science a plus.
  • 9+ years of EHS experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated or GMP environment a plus.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $114,080.00 - $178,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
