We Take Care of Our Team

This position offers:

  • Startingpayof$24.79/hr. up to top pay of$35.42/hr.

  • Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential

additional$2.50/hr. shift differential foroff-shifts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • ·Coordinates training such as new employee orientation and required ongoing EHS modules
  • ·Maintain manifests, waste and recycling program
  • ·Help enforce safety culture, and help supervisors enforce safety practices
  • ·Oversees the program for hazardous chemicals, this includes taking inventory, ensuring approvals of new chemicals, coordinate industrial hygiene testing (if needed), and update procedures according for the safe handling of the product
  • ·Coordinates monthly inspections as per compliance calendar for i.e. fire extinguishers, AED, eyewash, forklifts, fall arrest, ladders, etc…
  • ·EHS Program Implementation and revision as needed
  • ·Entry and follow-up of Incidents into the Incident Management System
  • ·Initiates and actively participates in incident investigations
  • ·Facilitates EHS related projects and problem solving with each team
  • ·Posts and updates on EHS data at the Site and Team Communication boards
  • ·Follows up on hazard walks, monthly audits, and other safety related items
  • ·Organizes and executes safety communications as needed
  • ·Organizes and maintains positive reinforcement program
  • ·Assists on execution on safety audit action items, focus on maintaining these and addressing potential opportunities throughout the year
  • Attends one on one mentoring/weekly calls with Aftermarket Solutions/DTNA Monthly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • No at fault Safety Incidents in the last year
  • No active disciplines regarding attendance record
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to learn new jobs, tasks, functions and develops training for these functions
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental policy
  • Understanding of the purpose and authority of OSHA
  • Willingness to take charge, and offer opinions and direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work well with large groups and one-on-one atmosphere
  • Self-motivated and has ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance
