Job Description
We are recruiting a Environmental Compliance Specialist for a large multi-site, manufacturing plant. This person would be responsible for ensuring that all business locations adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations through the development and maintenance of robust EHS management systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinate environmental compliance activities within the assigned business units.
• Collaborate with leadership teams at multiple sites to enhance environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management systems.
• Coordinate and maintain environmental compliance activities across assigned sites.
• Assure compliance with site regulatory environmental permits (record keeping, reporting, permitting and renewal) by providing direction needed to support regulatory compliance.
• Inspect processes to detect existing or potential environmental hazards, determine corrective or preventive measures and follow-up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience of working in a manufacturing environment in a similar capacity is acceptable.
• Knowledge of and/or ability to research Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations and their applications to facilities.
• Experience in evaluating regulatory standards and writing policies or procedures specific to the sites.
• 25% overnight travel to 19 sites.
