Job Description

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking motivated student interns within the fields of Instrumentation and Controls Engineering for our 2026 Summer Internship Program in our Tampa, FL office.

Salary range is $20 - $22/hr.

NOTE: Final salary is based on education, experience, certifications, and location.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a variety of assignments in Instrumentation and Control systems
  • Conduct in-office and field work
  • Perform tasks independently while working closely with experienced licensed engineers
  • Prepare reports and studies
  • Conduct engineering research and provide technical assistance
  • System startup and troubleshooting

Essential Functions

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Personal organization and time management skills
  • Able to build strong relationships with coworkers
  • Committed to continual learning
  • Excellent attention to detail

Experience

  • The ideal candidate will be a Junior, Senior, or graduate level students

Education

  • Pursuing a B.S. in Control Systems, Automation, Electrical, or related engineering degrees
