Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (Lewisville, TX)
Full-Time
Multiquip is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across our Lewisville, TX facilities. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving safety initiatives, strengthening regulatory compliance, and building a proactive safety culture across manufacturing and distribution environments.
You'll partner closely with the EHS Manager, facility leadership, and employees at all levels to implement safety programs, conduct training, lead site audits, and ensure our teams have the resources and knowledge needed to work safely every day. What You'll Do
Safety Program Leadership
- Support EHS initiatives across all Lewisville-area facilities, partnering with managers and supervisors to maintain safe and compliant operations.
- Build and reinforce a culture of accountability, safety awareness, and hazard prevention.
- Implement MQ's safety programs and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections.
- Participate in Workers' Compensation claim reviews as needed.
- Assist with safety investigations and corrective/preventive action development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Training & Employee Engagement
Deliver and manage required safety training programs, including:
New Hire Safety Orientation
OSHA topics such as Hazard Communication, PPE, Forklift Safety, LOTO, Fall Protection, First Responder, etc.
Maintain knowledge of DOT Hazardous Materials, DOT driver rules, and RCRA guidelines for training content.
Ensure employees have the proper PPE and use it correctly.
Lead the Safety Committee with the Director of Operations; document meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
Oversee operator certifications (forklift, reach truck, hoist).
Conduct annual emergency response drills for Dallas-area facilities.
Compliance, Auditing & Reporting
- Conduct audits, inspections, and site assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Document findings and generate reports using the electronic Safety Management System.
- Manage SDS inventory, environmental permits, and hazardous waste documentation.
- Identify trends, implement improvements, and share best practices.
Collaboration & Travel
- Work cross-functionally to support operational goals and maintain a collaborative, safety-first environment.
- Travel between all Lewisville-area locations as required.
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, or a related field highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of EHS or Occupational Safety experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Ability to interpret regulations and apply them within a real-world operations setting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and online research.
Certificates & Licenses
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA-required EHS certifications.
- Preferred certifications:
- 40‑hour EPA/OSHA HAZWOPER
- Certified Safety Consultant
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Process Safety Manager
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, manuals, and compliance documentation.
- Strong understanding of risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigation processes.
- Skilled in performing audits, inspections, and developing corrective actions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse environments and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and perform detailed facility inspections.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and maintain clear communication and situational awareness.
Compensation & Benefits
$90,000.00/yr-$100,000.00/yr
11 paid Holidays
