Job Title: Site EHS RepresentativeLocation: Washington, DCStart Date: ASAPDuration: Long-Term Project AssignmentType: Direct HireCompensation Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 annually Per Diem: None Available Pay Frequency: WeeklySchedule Hours: 40 Hours/Week Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift: 1st Shift (Occasional Night Work as Needed)Project ScopeThe Site EHS Representative will support multiple construction projects within the Washington, DC metro area, with an immediate focus on two active federal construction projects. This position serves as the on-site safety resource, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout all phases of construction.The selected candidate will work primarily in the field conducting site observations, inspections, audits, and safety reporting. This role will collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and maintain safe work environments.The company performs significant work within federal, military, data center, and commercial construction sectors. Successful candidates with experience in these environments will have opportunities to support future projects upon completion of the current assignments.Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification OSHA 510 Certification EM385 Certification or ability to obtain EM385 First Aid/CPR/AED Certification 3+ years of construction safety experience Target experience level of 3-5 years in safety roles Experience conducting site inspections and safety observations Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
Additional Requirements Must be willing to travel throughout the Washington, DC metro area Must be comfortable working primarily in field environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team-oriented approach to safety leadership Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with safety management software Ability to work occasional night hours when required
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits
Perform field observations and document findings
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM385, and project-specific safety requirements
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
Provide safety training and toolbox talks
Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports
Communicate corrective actions and follow up on implementation
Partner with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
Support safety initiatives across multiple active projects
Promote a positive and collaborative safety culture

Knowledge of OSHA standards, EM385 requirements, hazard prevention strategies, incident investigation processes, safety training programs, and field-based safety leadership is critical to success in this role.
