Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) ManagerLocation: Pedricktown, NJ Hire Type: Direct Hire, OnsiteSchedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays, as needed)Compensation: $110K - $115K/year (plus bonus)Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision plans, 401(k)
Job Summary:Seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives at a fast-paced production facility. This role is responsible for developing and managing programs that promote a safe work environment, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Job Duties:
- Lead site safety programs and initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture and reduce workplace incidents
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct safety audits and hazard assessments within a manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations and oversee corrective action implementation
- Track safety performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with operations leadership and HR on workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes
- Maintain required safety documentation and reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership to drive safety improvements and organizational change
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs
- Experience leading safety training, audits, and incident investigations
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (such as FDA or cGMP-regulated industries) preferred
- Experience supporting fast-paced production environments utilizing automated equipment or packaging systems preferred
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence safety initiatives across departments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to act as a change agent within operations
