Job Description
In this role you will be:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of EVS staff, including scheduling, task assignments, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Enforce infection control policies and procedures, including proper cleaning and disinfection practices.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality assurance audits of assigned areas.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate EVS staff; provide coaching and corrective action when needed.
- Collaborate with nursing, infection prevention, and other departments to support patient care goals.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of EVS equipment and chemicals.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, spills, or infection control concerns.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission).
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental policies and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of environmental services or housekeeping experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certification from the National Executive Housekeepers Association (NEHA) preferred
