Job Description

WCG is seeking a self-motivated, career-oriented environmental specialist with the ability to apply technical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet project demands and deliver high-quality solutions for our clients. This position involves conducting groundwater sampling, landfill gas probe monitoring, and other environmental media sampling and/or monitoring activities, along with technical reporting and additional field or office tasks as needed.

This role is primarily field-based for several months of the year and requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The balance of field and office work fluctuates seasonally, with spring and fall typically consisting of increased field activity. Some overnight and extended travel within Colorado, as well as Montana and Idaho, may be required. Responsibilities may also include preparing detailed technical reports summarizing field activities and analytical results.

  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Reports to Project Geologist
  • Fosters a safe, inclusive, and professional work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology or other related field highly preferred; will also consider equivalent experience
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Demonstrated field competency and professional conduct in environmental field setting preferred.
  • 0-3 years in environmental or other related field
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
