Job Description

EPC Project Engineering Lead

This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, strengthen infrastructure, and make a lasting impact on global energy systems.Serve as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects. Once a project is awarded, transition management duties to the Project Manager and execution team, ensuring a clear transfer of scope, schedule, and budget expectations. In collaboration with construction partners and technical leads, facilitate discussions on technical risk analysis and mitigation, preliminary routing and design, and bill-of-material takeoff support. Provide value engineering and constructability solutions.Lead scope, schedule, and budget development with a focus on activities and risks unique to AD projects (e.g., procurement support, construction support, critical path scheduling). Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, distribution, substation, environmental, real estate, and GIS teams. Estimate technical investments prior to Go/No-Go decisions and share risk evaluations with commercial, business development, and operations leadership.Interface with construction contractors and subconsultants during pursuits and projects while driving risk identification and mitigation discussions. Assist with Go/No-Go decisions, risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, interviews, and negotiations. As the AD program grows, collaborate with leadership to build out front-end engineering and design (FEED) teams.Serve in project technical leadership roles such as Engineering Manager, discipline lead, or technical advisor. Focus on FEED development and establishing project teams, while continuing risk analysis to determine appropriate transition timing. When not engaged in active pursuits or projects, develop templates, standards, specifications, drawings, processes, and procedures to support EPC transmission work (e.g., design templates, BOM templates, standards, schedules, and cost frameworks), including maintaining a database of best practices.Provide EPC best-practice guidance to pursuit and delivery teams. Support team development, mentorship, and leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Perform other duties as needed.   • Transmission should have:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Minimum 10 years of transmission design experience

Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams on EPC projects

Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, MFAD, and LPILEExperience developing engineering scope, schedule, and budget estimates for EPC projects

Experience developing EPC design and construction packages

Experience with transmission projects up to 500kV, including estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction specifications

Understanding of routing, structure spotting, materials selection, sagging, and foundation design

Experience providing value engineering solutions and working with vendors and subcontractors

Experience optimizing pole and foundation design

Experience coordinating with environmental, real estate, and GIS teams

Strong leadership and remote team management experience

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and conferencing tools

Ability to travel up to 20%Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering, or related field10 years of relevant experience

Professional registration with related technical expertise

Experience managing diverse teams

Ability to collaborate with regional, operations, technical, and marketing leaders
