Facilities Maintenance Technician – Midas Auto Service (Legacy Auto Group)
Full-Time | Multi-Unit Support | Competitive Pay + Benefits
Legacy Golden Touch Enterprises, a trusted multi-unit operator of Midas Auto Service centers, is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our growing network of automotive service locations. This role is essential to keeping our shops safe, efficient, and fully operational — ensuring our teams can deliver the clean, professional, and trustworthy service our brand is known for.
Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting facility systems and shop equipment across multiple Midas locations. This includes hydraulic automotive lifts, air compressors, tire and alignment equipment, and general building systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Hydraulic Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and repair 2-post lifts, 4-post lifts, alignment racks, and other hydraulic systems
- Perform routine safety checks and documentation
- Troubleshoot hydraulic leaks, cylinder issues, and lift performance problems
- Shop Equipment & Tools
- Service and maintain tire machines, wheel balancers, alignment machines, brake lathes, and shop air systems
- Coordinate calibration and vendor service when required
- Facility & Building Maintenance
- Perform general repairs including lighting, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting (non-licensed), and minor carpentry
- Maintain HVAC filters, exhaust systems, and shop ventilation
- Ensure parking lots, signage, and exterior areas remain clean and functional
- Preventative Maintenance Program
- Execute scheduled PM tasks across all assigned locations
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and equipment condition records
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all equipment meets OSHA and Midas safety standards
- Support store managers with facility-related safety concerns
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Assist with shop remodels, equipment installations, and relocations
- Support emergency repair needs to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Experience in facility maintenance, equipment repair, or industrial/mechanical service
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read equipment manuals and follow safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (multi-site travel required)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop environments
- HVAC, electrical, or welding experience is a plus but not required
