Job Summary

The maintenance technician will perform preventative maintenance repairs on the facility and equipment used in manufacturing produce for Nortek Data Center Cooling. Will be part of a team that will assist in planning and executing plans for installation of production assembly lines. Tasked to build control systems according to prints provided. This role will be responsible for the upkeep of all equipment and ensure it runs efficiently and safely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established safety, health and quality procedures set in place by company policy.

  • Responsible for ensuring the functionality of building systems, equipment, facility repairs routine maintenance, and various repairs.

  • Inspection and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility all while following all safety regulations and protocols.

  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and ensure timely repair.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and other duties.

  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and the facility.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience in industrial maintenance.

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, and fluid power print reading.

  • Identifies and implements solutions for improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, by utilizing strong problem-solving skills.

  • Performs root cause analysis and resolve problems identified with manufacturing equipment.

  • Identify and repair safety hazards.

  • Install and start-up new equipment and production lines.

  • Experience with power distribution systems.

  • Complete preventive maintenance task and other daily task assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of plant level operations experience in a high-volume / mixed -model production environment is required. Experience serving large customers and understanding how to meet their complex needs is preferred.

  • Proven experience as industrial maintenance or similar role.

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within the industrial sector.

  • Must have an energetic, results-oriented perspective and be able to motivate your team to sustain excellence.

  • Knowledge of maintenance techniques and methods. This includes understanding the working of various systems, tools, schematics (electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and how to perform preventive maintenance.

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

  • Thorough knowledge of industrial equipment.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
