THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS EQUIPMENT OPERATING SPECIALIST - HIGHWAY OPERATOR

Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to keep Cass County running smoothly. As a Highway Equipment Operator, you'll:

  • Inspect and maintain heavy equipment before each shift
  • Perform routine road maintenance and ditch mowing
  • Operate snowplows, backhoes, dozers, and motor graders
  • Respond to weather events and emergencies with quick action
  • Assist with manual labor for bridge and road repairs
  • Help identify needed equipment repairs and improvements

You'll also work four 10-hour shifts during the weeks of the spring and fall seasons.

OUR IDEAL EQUIPMENT OPERATING SPECIALIST - HIGHWAY OPERATOR

  • 1+ years of experience in operating heavy equipment
  • Ability to take orders and resolve any problems
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and the materials used
  • Heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Class A license
