Enterprise Electrical is seeking an experienced and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team for an exciting mission-critical data center project located in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery and equipment necessary for the construction and installation of electrical systems within a fast-paced and safety-oriented environment. Open Roles Compensation Structure:
Equipment Operator: $25 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
Daily Per Diem: $120 (Paid daily, 7 days a week)
Retention Bonus: $5.00 per hour - paid as a retention bonus for this project
Standard Schedule: 6/10s
Project Duration: 1 year+ with additional steady work
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and forklifts.
- Ensure all equipment is operated efficiently, safely, and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment from transportation vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings.
Requirements
License
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Heavy Equipment Operator certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment
- Knowledge of machine operating techniques and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Tools & Equipment Used
- Excavators, bulldozers, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
- Hand tools and basic power tools
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Active construction site environment, exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions
- Ability to lift equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
