GENERAL DISCUSSION OF RESPONSIBILITIES, MISSION AND STRATEGY

EMSAR is looking for an Equipment Repair Technician I. The Equipment Repair Technician I is responsible for testing and repairing electro-mechanical products assigned by work order. This position applies knowledge of electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. This role may also be assigned to other operations and/or manufacturing teams as necessary to meet customer demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as assigned to troubleshoot and repair "returned for repair" units or components in a manner that efficiently and effectively repairs electromechanical equipment in accordance with operational specifications and customer requirements.
  • Performs with direction work requiring knowledge of equipment specifications, properties, materials and applications of the full array of hardware products offered by EMSAR
  • Complies with company and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Informs and seeks advice from appropriate supervisor of atypical/unusual repair items.
  • Successfully completes assigned training within specified period of time.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

The Equipment Repair Technician I will be an integral member of the team but also must be willing and able to take direction and have a desire to learn. The candidate must be energetic, driven and have a professional demeanor. The highest integrity is a must.

  • Problem Solving- The individual identifies problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information. Works with Equipment Repair Technician III to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Leadership- Ability to handle disconnected data and requests in a changing and dynamic atmosphere
  • Quality Management- The individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Judgment- The defers to Supervisor and/or Equipment Repair Technician III on decisions outside of normal scope.
  • Attention to Detail- Job requires an accurate eye and thorough follow through when completing work tasks
  • Initiative- Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
  • Planning/Organizing- The individual uses time efficiently and follows action plans, maintains clean and organized work station.
  • Safety and Security- The individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Teamwork- Ability to work in a collaborative style
  • Organizational Skills- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed oriented tasks
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priorities
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards
