We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of [strong style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Equipment Tech in our ORCM Reliability and Maintenance Group. The position will be based in New Mexico Delaware Basin (Carlsbad, NM Area).[strong style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis position is accountable, cooperatively with other line functions, to meet the goals ofOil & Gas in Safety, Environmental and Production. Contribution to meet these goals will be achieved by maintaining the workplace in a safe and reliable condition in addition to, but not limited to, the following:Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate, as our highest priorityAssure compliance to Policy and Procedure expectations/standards (MOC s, PSSR s, Procedures, Audits, etc.)Ensure others including yourself, are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their jobExecute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and maintenance practicesMaintain the assigned tools, equipment and parts inventory to execute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and maintenance practicesManage backlog of work orders to maintain compressor uptime and reliabilityProvide technical expertise to identify ways to reduce costs, and improve process uptime and mechanical reliabilitySupport compression surveillance to maximize uptime and throughputSupport OPEX reduction and compression optimization initiativesResponsible for housekeeping and safety in assigned work and areasUpon Supervisory approval, coordinate the use of contract resources to accomplish the Teams missionCooperate with other company groups to meet business goals[strong style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Qualifications -High School Diploma or G.E.D. requiredMust have valid driver's license with a good driving recordMinimum of 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience in maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (i.e. Pumps, Compressors, VRUs)Experience in maintaining and repairing of high-speed compressors and engines in the horsepower range of 500 to 2500 Client ([em style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]preferred)Thorough knowledge of oil and gas industry surface equipment types and applicationsAbility to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysisCapable of basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipmentStrong teamwork and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office software em style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"[strong style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"]Safety and Physical Requirements -This role is occasionally subject to possible hazards (e.g.--chemical, extreme heat or cold, exposed heights)Ability to travel to all areas in the facility which may require climbing, ascending and descending stairs traveling long distances as requiredLifting, carrying, stooping and reachingAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as requiredAbility to respond to audible and visual alarmsAbility to communicate verbally and or in written form
