Job Description
Equipment Technician – $26.00/Hour + Travel PremiumJoin SAVARD Personnel Group – where your skills are valued!Pay:
- $26.00/hour for shop work (no travel required)
- Earn an additional $8.00/hour ($34.00/hour total) while traveling on assignment
- All travel expenses covered, including per diem
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, load banks, power distribution equipment, transformers, and low-voltage cables.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues and perform major repairs.
- Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble equipment as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and low-voltage quality control checks.
- Prepare rental equipment, including generators, AC/DC load banks, transformers, cables, and trailers.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, metering equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment.
- Fabricate parts and equipment to meet shop and customer needs.
- Accurately complete repair documentation and estimate repair time and costs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Trade school graduates or candidates with mechanical, electrical, diesel, industrial maintenance, or generator experience are encouraged to apply.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- This position is primarily shop-based with no required travel.
- Technicians who choose to travel on assignments can earn an additional $8.00/hour while on the road.
- Travel assignments may last up to two weeks at a time, with all travel expenses and per diem provided.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Overtime available
- First 3 weeks consist of hands-on training in the shop.
