Job Description

EQUITY DERIVATIVES TRADE VALIDATION ANALYST – CONTRACT

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Industry: Global Financial Services

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Equity Derivatives Trade Validation Analyst for a contract opportunity in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade support or middle-office professional with strong hands-on experience working with equity derivatives and structured equity products.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

In this position, you will serve as a key control point between the Front Office and the bank’s Operations, Risk, Technology, and other support functions. You will review newly executed trades and make sure complex equity derivative transactions are accurately captured, documented, and processed throughout their lifecycle.

You will work closely with Traders, Sales, Structuring, Risk, Operations, and Technology to identify and resolve trade discrepancies and ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the bank's systems.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Validate equity derivative and structured equity trades from execution through booking.

Compare trade details against term sheets, confirmations, trader recaps, and booking models.

Review complex product terms including payoffs, barriers, autocalls, digitals, knock-in/knock-out features, coupons, baskets, and indices.

Identify and investigate trade booking discrepancies, exceptions, and missing information.

Work directly with Trading, Sales, Structuring, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to resolve issues.

Perform daily trade controls and reconciliations to identify unmatched, missing, or incorrectly booked transactions.

Monitor trade lifecycle events including amendments, cancellations, novations, resets, corporate actions, fixing events, and maturities.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY?

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned middle-office professional to join a sophisticated global financial institution and work directly with complex equity derivative products and multiple Front-to-Back functions.

Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week, including 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per month.

If you have strong equity derivatives experience and are interested in a contract opportunity with a major financial institution, we'd like to hear from you.

    • Help ensure trade capture is accurate so that downstream valuation, risk, accounting, and operational processes are not impacted.

    • Manage multiple issues and deadlines in a fast-paced financial markets environment.

    • Hands-on experience with equity derivatives and/or structured equity products is REQUIRED.

    • Experience in trade validation, trade support, middle office, or a similar financial markets function.

    • Strong understanding of listed and OTC equity derivatives, including options, swaps, variance products, autocallables, structured notes, and other equity-linked products.

    • Ability to understand and interpret term sheets, confirmations, transaction documentation, and product specifications.

    • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement/maturity.

    • Demonstrated experience researching trade discrepancies and driving issues through resolution.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Comfortable working directly with Traders, Sales, Structuring, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology.

    • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

  • Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
