We are currently seeking an Equity Sales Associate to join our Equities team at our San Francisco, CA office.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong interest in financial markets and is ready to grow into a broader equity sales platform. The successful candidate will serve institutional clients, support equity capital markets activity, and contribute to the continued growth of our franchise across the west coast market.
You will work closely with senior sales professionals, research analysts, and investment banking teams to deliver differentiated investment ideas and sector insights to a diverse base of institutional clients, including hedge funds, mutual funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multi-strategy firms.
We work on "market hours" which requires the employee in the role to be up and working by 4:00am PST and in the office by 6:00am.
Responsibilities
Support the development of the firm's equities business across the West Coast by engaging institutional clients with timely, relevant investment ideas and market commentary
Provide investment guidance to sectorized institutional investors, assessing market trends, identifying investment opportunities, and communicating strategic recommendations
Market equity products to major institutional clients, including Non Deal Road Shows, IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, and the firm's research product.
Build and manage client relationships with institutional investors, serving as a trusted point of contact and ensuring the firm maintains its status as a valued partner
Support management of accounts, ensuring consistent client engagement and high service standards
Qualifications & Skills
B.S. or B.A. required. Preferred majors include Finance, Business, Economics, or closely related Degrees.
0-2 years of related experience (equities, banking, accounting, financial markets or investment banking) is a plus, but will actively consider recent graduates.

Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to travel to meet with current and prospective clients

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
