ES&H Manager & Trainer - Telecom Construction
Location: Huntingdon Valley, PA Travel: ~50% (multi-state project sites)
Invertice is a telecommunications construction contractor specializing in tower construction, structural modifications, and civil infrastructure for wireless carriers. We perform raw land site builds, tower modifications, antenna and line installation, equipment installations, and supporting civil work across the Northeast, South, and Midwest under direct MSAs with Verizon, T-Mobile, and other major carriers.
Safety and disciplined execution are central to our field operations.
We are seeking an ES&H Manager & Trainer to lead safety operations and in-house training across active telecom construction projects. This role goes beyond compliance -- the ideal candidate will build and deliver training programs for climbing, RF safety, and first aid/CPR, and serve as the primary safety resource for field crews and project leadership. The position combines field safety audits, OSHA and carrier compliance management, and hands-on instruction. Prior experience in telecom or tower construction is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Management
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled safety audits on active project sites
- Monitor tower climbing operations and fall protection compliance
- Review crane lifts, rigging plans, and other high-risk work activities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and carrier safety programs
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and daily safety planning
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
- Track safety performance trends and identify recurring risk areas
- Maintain internal safety documentation and reporting
- Deliver in-house training programs for tower climbing and rescue
- Conduct RF Safety Awareness training for field crews
- Deliver First Aid/CPR certification courses
- Manage training records and compliance tracking through Safety LMS
- Coordinate site orientations and carrier-required safety onboarding
- Identify training gaps and update curriculum as needed
Site Readiness / Pre-Construction (upon request)
- Assist Project manager to ensure the site is ready before crews arrive.\
- Confirm site access and permits
- Verify utility locates completed (811)
- Ensure equipment and materials are onsite
- Confirm safety plan and JSA completed
Material & Equipment Coordination
- Assist in Coordinating delivery of materials to job sites
- Verify materials match construction scope / BOM
- Coordinate returns of unused materials
Qualifications:
- Telecom or tower construction experience required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (required)
- Comtrain certification (required)
- Safety LMS administration experience (required)
- Authorized or certified trainer for climbing, RF safety, and First Aid/CPR
- Strong understanding of tower climbing safety and fall protection systems
- Familiarity with crane operations, rigging, and lifting procedures
- Experience conducting field inspections and reviewing compliance documentation
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites
Preferred:
- CHST, STS, or similar safety certification
- Experience with wireless carrier safety programs (Verizon, T-Mobile)
- 3-5+ years in a combined safety and training role
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time position
- $80,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience)
