Estimator / Engineering Support

As our RFQ Specialist, you’ll be the critical link between customer inquiries and winning new business. Your work will ensure that every quote we deliver is accurate, competitive, and on time—helping us strengthen relationships, secure projects, and drive growth.Starting wage $25.00 based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Respond to RFQs quickly and accurately, meeting or beating deadlines.

• Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to gather all technical and commercial details needed for quotes.

• Prepare and organize all documentation for Quote Review sessions.

• Obtain and evaluate external supplier quotes to support competitive pricing.

• Schedule and facilitate Quote Reviews with senior leadership, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.

• Finalize and enter quotes into our system, then communicate results to customers ahead of deadlines.

• Keep the quotes database current and well-organized.

• Monitor and report on jobs won and lost, providing regular updates to management.

• Analyze win/loss trends to refine and improve the quoting process.

• Share updates on new customers and projects across the organization to keep everyone informed.

• Use market intelligence and internal financial data to create quotes that are both competitive and profitable.
• Understand internal financial resources and use data when quoting

Education and/or Experience

• Associates degree preferred but not required
• 4+ years in a similar role within CNC/precision manufacturing
• Previous experience in print interpretation, quality systems and ISO/relevant standards
• Previous customer service experience
• Must have experience with 2D CAD drawing

Language Skills

• Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively

Mathematical

The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule for

Computer Skills

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
• Experience with ERP system
• Experience with CAD software preferred
