Millwork EstimatorAmerican Fork, UtahBase Salary ranging from $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experienceAdditional monthly incentivesHealth benefits, 401(k), paid time off
PURPOSEResponsible for producing accurate material quantity takeoffs for residential and multifamily millwork packages. This position reviews construction plans and specifications to determine material requirements for interior doors, exterior doors, trim, moldings, and related millwork products.The position plays a critical role in supporting sales and operations by ensuring quantity takeoffs are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review residential and multifamily construction plans and specifications.Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs for:
Interior doorsExterior doorsInterior trimExterior trimMoldingsHardwareRelated millwork products
Accurately quantify material requirements using Bluebeam software and company estimating tools.Verify that takeoffs align with plan details, elevations, schedules, and specifications.Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and plan conflicts that may impact material quantities.Request clarification or additional information when required to complete takeoffs accurately.Maintain accuracy while working through a high volume of repetitive estimating tasks.Manage assigned workload and ensure projects are completed according to schedule commitments.Follow established estimating procedures and company standards consistently.Maintain detailed project notes and documentation.Collaborate with sales, operations, and management to support project needs.Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Preferred qualifications include:
Experience reviewing residential construction plansExperience performing quantity takeoffs or estimatingExperience in millwork, finish carpentry, doors, trim, framing, or construction-related fieldsExperience using Bluebeam Revu or similar plan review software
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.Construction and estimating experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and sales personnel.Mathematical SkillsAbility to accurately perform measurements, quantities, fractions, percentages, and calculations commonly used in construction estimating.Reasoning AbilityAbility to identify discrepancies, interpret plan details, solve problems, and apply company estimating standards consistently.Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office productsExperience with Bluebeam Revu preferredAbility to learn estimating and project management softwareStrong general computer skills
Attention to DetailAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy while reviewing plans and performing repetitive estimating tasks throughout the day.Time Management & OrganizationAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and consistently meet deadlines.Process AdherenceAbility to follow established procedures, estimating standards, and workflows consistently, even when priorities are challenged by outside requests.Construction KnowledgeKnowledge of residential construction methods, framing, doors, trim, and millwork products preferred.
