Job Description

A steel fabricator serving Newport, KY needs a Steel Estimator who can produce sharp, complete bids for fabricated and erected structural steel.

You'll handle:

Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals
Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing

Background:

Strong blueprint reading skills
5+ years estimating structural steel
Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
