Job DetailsJob DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator with a strong background in commercial roofing, ideally with significant re-roofing experience.The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating opportunities, reviewing project documents, performing takeoffs, developing labor and material costs, working with vendors and subcontractors, and preparing accurate and competitive proposals.What You'll Do:

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial roofing projects
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and other project documents
• Perform material and labor takeoffs
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and production costs
• Visit project sites when necessary to evaluate existing conditions and project requirements
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
• Develop accurate project budgets and competitive proposals
• Identify potential scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities
• Follow up on outstanding bids and track project outcomes
• Work closely with operations, project management, sales, vendors, and customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
• Assist with project handoffs after successful awards

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
• Strong preference for candidates with commercial re-roofing estimating experience
• Understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, installation methods, and construction practices
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents
• Strong understanding of labor and material costing
• Knowledge of subcontractor and vendor relationships
• Strong computer and estimating software skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Ability to travel locally to job sites, vendors, and project meetings as needed
