Job Description

Estimator PositionJoin a full-service general contracting firm located just outside of Overland Park, KS. They focus primarily on multifamily and commercial projects, up to $40M in value. Their commitment to employee success is unparalleled, and they are looking for a strong Estimator to grow and develop with their resources and expertise.Job DescriptionPrepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Analyze project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials and labor costs.Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize project efficiency.Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labor, and equipment costs.Support the bidding process by preparing and submitting competitive proposals.Monitor project progress and adjust cost estimates as necessary.Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to gather relevant information.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Strong experience with ground-up construction projects

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Experience working across commercial sectors (education, municipal, retail, or mixed-use preferred)Proficiency in estimating software and strong Excel capability

Strong analytical and communication skills

Driven, ambitious mindset with a desire for career progression
