Partnering closely with Outside Sales, project teams, and customers, you'll evaluate opportunities, develop accurate and compelling plumbing estimates, and translate technical scope into clear, customer-friendly quotations.

Your market insight, plumbing expertise, and data-driven estimating approach will directly influence win rates, margins, and long-term customer relationships. You'll serve as the go-to expert for plumbing pricing strategy-balancing speed, accuracy, and value-while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial and mechanical plumbing projects.
  • Perform thorough plan, specification, and plumbing takeoff reviews to identify risks, efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Clearly communicate plumbing estimates and assumptions to customers, answering technical questions and building trust
  • Maintain organized estimating documentation, historical pricing data, and bid records to support fast, reliable quoting
  • Partner with operations and project teams to review post-award performance and improve future plumbing estimates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, metrics, and best practices

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED (METRICS)

  • Estimate accuracy (estimated vs. actual cost variance)
  • Bid hit/win rate on commercial plumbing opportunities
  • Gross margin performance on awarded plumbing projects
  • Quote turnaround time and on-time bid delivery
  • Change order frequency tied to estimating gaps
  • Customer and sales team satisfaction with estimate clarity and responsiveness

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple plumbing estimates simultaneously
  • Solid project management, prioritization, and deadline-driven execution skills
