Speedwell Construction is seeking a motivated, energetic individual who wants to build a career in commercial construction estimating. You don't need years of estimating experience—we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent computer skills, excitement about technology, and the determination to learn from one of the best in the industry.
You'll work side-by-side with our seasoned estimator, gaining hands-on experience preparing competitive bids for commercial construction projects while developing the skills needed to become a successful estimator.
What You'll Do
- Contact subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
- Build relationships with trade partners
- Assist with preparing bids and proposals
- Organize bid documents and project information
- Learn how to interpret plans and specifications
- Support pre-bid meetings and estimating activities
- Develop the skills to become a commercial construction estimator
We're Looking for Someone Who
- Isn't afraid to pick up the phone—and will make dozens of calls if that's what it takes
- Has strong computer and organizational skills
- Is naturally curious and enjoys learning and technology
- Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Is persistent and enjoys solving problems
- Communicates professionally with customers and trade partners
- Wants a long-term career, not just a paycheck
Construction Experience?
Construction experience is a plus but not required. If you have the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn, we'll teach you the estimating side of the business.
