Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Permanent Estimator for Civil Construction to join our team. This is an extraordinary opportunity to become a part of a well-established, rapidly growing construction company that specializes in civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of cost estimation, including bridge, site work, roadway, and highway construction projects. Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of the contract documents and specifications, to determine overall project requirements and identify any associated risk factors, including the monitoring of new and revised scopes of work.
• Develop comprehensive, detailed project capital cost estimates for bridge, site work, roadway, and highway projects, integrating inputs from all other functional departments such as engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Prepare and present comparison of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
• Participate in the preparation of start-up cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project schedules.
• Prepare and present project estimate reports, including total project cost summaries, comparative studies, and bid recommendation.
• Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalation, and contingency.
• Participate in discussions and negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners during the bidding process.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive and accurate project estimates.
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimation, specifically with bridge, site work, roadway, and highway projects.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as standard office software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus, but not required.
