Grace Church - Eden Prairie
Full-time - 40 hours/week
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Hourly - Non-Exempt
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Evening Custodial Supervisor is responsible for leading and guiding the evening custodial staff to ensure custodial responsibilities are completed effectively and efficiently. The Evening Custodial Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for providing leadership of the custodial team during unique times of operations (evenings, special events, etc.).
- Provide comprehensive custodial support in all areas of maintenance and care.
- Responsible for supporting Grace events to include set-ups and teardowns support to include set-ups and teardowns.
- Responsible for scheduling custodial staff and ensuring necessary shift coverage.
- Responsible for inventory of supplies and maintaining necessary supplies needed maintaining supplies.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Assist in maintaining security for Grace Church properties.
- Oversee and execute daily maintenance needs for all restrooms.
- Oversee and maintain flooring and carpeting throughout the facilities.
- Oversee and execute office cleaning, including vacuuming and detail cleaning.
- Oversee and execute maintenance of all classrooms and meeting rooms.
- Oversee and execute light facilities maintenance and care, including vacuuming and detail cleaning.
- Have a full understanding of the security system and be responsible for operating it.
- Thorough understanding of how to safely respond to security issues in general and uniquely to Grace Church.
- Responsible for understanding opening and closing procedures.
- General custodial care as directed by the Director of Facilities.
- Understanding the proper operation of equipment.
- Train new staff on Grace Church cleaning protocols and procedures, including the proper use and care of all equipment.
- Assist in minor snow removal during snow events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma.
- Experience required: 3-5 years of relevant custodial and supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate bilingually a plus, not required (Spanish).
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Current on MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) requirements and the use of storage of chemicals used in custodial work.
- Proven background of exceptional customer service; is able to serve the staff and congregation with respect.
- Demonstrates a willingness and capability to learn the intricacies of maintaining a large facility.
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
- Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
