Position Summary:

This position is responsible for cleaning all items and surfaces in assigned areas and ensuring they meet Mohegan Sun's standards of cleanliness.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

• Monitors and maintains the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
• Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming using the proper chemicals, tools and equipment
• Services, cleans and supplies restrooms
• Empties trash containers, ashtrays and ash urns
• Polishes brass surfaces
• Ensures the safety of assigned keys

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports any damages to furniture, fixtures or equipment to the supervisor, as needed
• Carries and maintains proper cleaning supplies for assigned tasks

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience or ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patrons and supervisors

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Good verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques
• Performs job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Training Requirements:

• Completes EVS Training Module which includes the proper use of chemicals and safety procedures
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment and their proper use
• Biohazard clean-up procedures
• Knowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens procedures and precautions

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend and walk large areas of the casino property for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shift and flexible hours
