Job Description
Title: Executive Director Risk Transformation & Change LeadershipOffice Status: Hybrid New York, NYBase Salary: $220k - $260k + Discretionary BonusOverview: This is a high-visibility Executive Director opportunity within the Chief Transformation Office of a leading global financial institution, tasked with building and leading the global Risk Change function from the ground up. The role sits at the intersection of risk management, technology, and enterprise transformation offering direct partnership with senior Risk, Technology, and Business leadership across regions. It's the right seat for a seasoned change and transformation leader who brings deep risk management fluency, a strong technology orientation, and a track record of delivering complex programs on time and on budget without relying on regulatory mandates to drive execution.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of mission-critical risk transformation programs across the Chief Risk Officer function, managing a global portfolio of risk change investments and initiatives
- Chair the Risk Change Investment Committee and ensure robust governance across all risk transformation investments, supporting International Investment Governance forums and standards
- Develop compelling business cases to secure executive sponsorship for risk change initiatives;define and track KPIs and OKRs including delivery timelines, cost savings, risk reduction outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Partner closely with Risk Management, Technology, and Corporate Function leadership globally to align risk change initiatives with firm-wide priorities and regulatory requirements
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to enhance risk management capabilities and operational efficiency
- Provide strategic oversight for business-embedded business analysts, driving aligned outcomes across organizational boundaries
- Lead organizational design decisions with a commercial mindset, aligning roles to business priorities and developing local capabilities across regional teams
- Build and lead a high-performing global team of senior program and project managers, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and disciplined execution
- Champion data-driven approaches to risk transformation and performance measurement across the Risk organization
- Ensure all risk-sponsored change programs align with regulatory requirements, firm-wide risk appetite, and pragmatic delivery control standards
- Periodic international travel to key regional offices and stakeholder locations required
