For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

This position is currently funded for up to 728 hours.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Executive Office Support OR HS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Executive Office Support

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint
Duties:

The Executive Support Enrollee will provide assistance in the State Director?s office, scheduling meetings, processing documents for procurement and contracting, entering and processing employee travel, reconciling credit card statements, processing monthly financial reports, processing deposits, and managing employee time reporting and payroll. Additionally, this position provides support for the front desk public contact position, providing professional quality communications and information.

  • Public Contact ? Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in order to present information in professional and easy to understand formats that increase understanding of Bureau programs, policies and objectives. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system   30%
  • Application/Database Support/File Management ? Ability to use various types of computer programs to maintain, update, and retrieve information from automated applications/data systems/electronic files quickly and accurately   30%
  • Travel/Scheduling ? Knowledge of scheduling and travel systems, in order to effectively schedule meetings around complex schedules and prepare accurate travel authorization and voucher paperwork and review travel records to ensure they are processed correctly.   20%
  • Budget and Finance ? Practical knowledge of various budget/financial regulations, policies, practices, and procedures in order to monitor and track obligations, review data, consolidate provided information into summaries and/or reports, identify recurring budgetary issues.   20%

  • Physical requirements: Work is primarily sedentary in office environment. Will need to use a computer and answer telephones.
