Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner.

The Executive Steward is responsible for developing and managing daily maintenance programs for cleanliness, food safety, sanitation and organization in all kitchens. This position is responsible for maintaining china, glassware, silverware, and other food equipment inventories in addition to purchasing all china, glassware, silverware, food equipment, and cleaning supplies. A hands-on presence with the Stewarding team is expected.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Lead and supervise stewarding staff; hire, schedule, train, motivate, and counsel all staff on a department that operates twenty four hours a day seven days a week.*

  • Maintain sanitation, safety, security and quality standards and proactively create programs to address shortcomings. Work closely with maintenance to ensure that repairs are reported and done in a timely manner.*

  • Purchase all cleaning supplies for the F&B department and china, glass, silver and smallwares.*

  • Ensure that quarterly inventories or when business needs demands, are conducted and results are compiled and reported accurately.*

  • Work closely with culinary leadership to ensure that the Stewarding department complies with all timelines to ensure all food is delivered at the appropriate time for catered events.*

  • Transport equipment, trash, and employees on and off property by driving company box trucks and golf carts.*
  • Assist with payroll, glass, china, silver and smallwares budgeting and ensure that these budgets are adhered to.*

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.

  • Industry Experience - Food & Beverage, Hospitality/Tourism

  • Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Completion of high school or GED

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
