PRN - Day Shift
Starting Pay - $26.85 to $33.57 (based on experience)
Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Qualifications:
- Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine required
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Knowledge in exercise stress testing, EKG analysis, education classes, and exercise prescription for clinical patients
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
Job Responsibilities:
- Assists with staffing coverage for planned and unplanned absences for current Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation staff.
- Observes and evaluates exercise treatment effect and recommends change to the clinician as needed.
- Properly assesses patients during cardiopulmonary exercise classes.
- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Interacts professionally with the patient/family and involves the patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to co-workers, clinicians, staff, and administrative teams.
- Charges patients accurately and timely in compliance with departmental policy and in compliance with specifications outlined in the annual CPT publication (current procedural terminology).
- Demonstrates knowledge of exercise physiology, exercise prescription, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
- Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintains department cleanliness and safety.
- Participates in the departmental and/or organizational quality improvement process.
- Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment, organizational safety, and fire safety training programs.
- Demonstrates an ability to be flexible and organized, and to function under stressful situations.
- Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
- Consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and education.
- Adheres to department policies, protocols, and processes.
- Maintains continuing education requirements.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time.
- Attends annual review and departmental in-services and meetings, as scheduled.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Keeps current in exercise physiology interventions by reading scientific journals and research articles and attending continuing education courses.
- Other duties as assigned.
