Job Description

This is a 40 hour per week position, schedule TBD, for an exercise physiologist, licensed athletic trainer, or individual of similar background. Flexibility in scheduling is REQUIRED for night and weekend work.  The role may follow either a four 10-hour shift schedule or a five 8-hour shift schedule.All work will take place at the Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. All work is on-site with no remote work available. Scheduling flexibility is REQUIRED with at least one weekend day availability. Occasional evening and early morning work may be needed. Any candidate with a hard stop at 5pm or no weekend availability should not apply.Responsibilities·Implement injury prevention strategies such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and body mechanics coaching.·Health consultation Basic QualificationsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:·BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology or similar·Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus·Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification·Excellent written and oral communication skills·Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions·Active Florida driver’s licensePhysical Requirements of the job:·Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift;must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.·Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.·Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.·Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.·Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.·Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.·Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:·Masters Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology·Minimum of one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus·Advanced affinity for technologyRequired EducationBS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise phys
