Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Location: Wellsboro
Salary Range: $25–$29 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their well-established practice in Wellsboro, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EFDA looking for a consistent weekday schedule and a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations.
- Place and finish restorations as permitted by EFDA certification.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures.
- Take digital X-rays.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories.
- Maintain strict infection control standards.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient clinical workflow.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania EFDA certification.
- X-ray certification.
- Prior clinical experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and clinical proficiency.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
