Job Description

Job Summary:Lamoille Valley Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our dealership in Hyde Park, Vermont.  Chevrolet or GM experience preferred but any automotive experience accepted. As a full-time technician, we offer you 4-day work weeks, and you will be responsible for performing skilled labor and contractor duties related to the repair and maintenance of Chevrolet vehicles. This is an individual contributor role, with opportunities for growth and advancement within our dealership. With a 4 day work week its the same as an additional 5 weeks of time off per year.  5 days week available as well if preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests and inspections on Chevrolet vehicles to identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions.
  • Repair and maintain Chevrolet vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards and specifications.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and expertise to provide efficient and effective service to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain diagnoses and repairs needed.
  • Consistently meet and exceed productivity and efficiency goals set by the dealership.Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as aa automotive Technician.
  • ASE and Chevrolet certifications preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Chevrolet vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and computerized systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
