Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in project planning by accurately assessing costs, preparing bids, and supporting project management efforts.
Duties
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
- Utilize estimating software such as Construct Connect and Bid Board to develop accurate cost projections.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Review and interpret contracts, change orders, and scope of work documents to ensure precise estimates.
- Assist in bid preparation, including pricing, proposal development, and presentation of estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, materials pricing, and labor rates.
Skills
- Proficiency with Construct Connect, Bid Board, and other estimating or project management software.
- Extensive experience in construction estimating, with a solid understanding of construction site operations.
- Knowledge of construction management principles, including cost control and project scheduling.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Experience with contracts management and project management methodologies.
