🔧 Experienced Mack Mechanic – Pack Rat HaulingLocation: Leesburg, VAPosition Type: Full-TimeStarting Pay: $30.00/hour (Guaranteed 40+ hours per week)

Pack Rat Hauling, a locally owned and fast-growing hauling company based in Leesburg, VA, is looking for an experienced Mack Mechanic to join our team. We’re seeking a reliable, motivated individual who takes pride in their work and has the skills to keep our fleet running smoothly and safely.

This role is ideal for a skilled mechanic who can diagnose, repair, and maintain Mack trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles. Candidates must supply their own tools. Experience with roll-off trucks is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on Mack trucks and other fleet vehicles
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to keep vehicles in peak condition
Accurately document all repairs and services performed with a fleet maintenance software
Communicate effectively with operations team regarding truck readiness and repair timelines
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Provide reliable, high-quality service to minimize downtime for the fleet

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mack truck mechanic, other diesel experience a plus
Must provide your own tools
Knowledge of truck systems (engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot and perform both major and minor repairs
Roll-off truck repair experience (preferred, but not required)
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
