Experienced HVAC Installation Technician
$38 - $46 per hour | Owatonna, MN

We are currently seeking an Experienced HVAC Installation Technician who is ready to take the next step in their career. About the Role
As an Experienced HVAC Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing residential heating and cooling systems while continuously refining your technical skills. You'll also play a key role in mentoring less experienced installers and helping maintain high standards across all projects. This position offers the opportunity to grow your capabilities in system design, troubleshooting, and leadership while working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week
- Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
- Participation in a bi-monthly on-call rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems in residential settings according to company quality standards
- Ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to customer satisfaction
- Support and guide junior installers, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Interpret installation plans and apply proper system design techniques
- Work with a variety of equipment including furnaces, heat pumps, and duct systems
- Perform system testing, balancing, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Represent the company professionally on every job site
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years of HVAC installation experience
- EPA certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigerant, gas, and electric equipment
- Ability to install and modify ductwork systems effectively
- Understanding of low-voltage HVAC controls
- Strong awareness of job site safety and proper tool usage
- Ability to test, adjust, and optimize system performance
- Willingness to teach, lead, and continue developing professionally
Preferred Skills
- NATE certification (installations)
- Experience with both residential and light commercial systems
- Prior experience training or leading other installers
Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
