Experienced HVAC Field Service Technician - Residential

Location: Greater Boston Area

Position Overview: We're looking for a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work directly with residential customers to install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, with a focus on delivering great service and technical excellence. This position is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience who enjoys solving problems and working in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on HVAC systems including heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, and furnaces.
  • Diagnose issues with equipment and provide clear, accurate solutions.
  • Visit job sites to inspect systems and ensure proper functioning.
  • Understand basic sizing and system layout checks for residential HVAC installs.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service during all appointments.
  • Accurately document work using a tablet or smartphone for job tracking.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and company equipment in good condition.
  • Collaborate with the team and office dispatch to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of residential HVAC experience preferred.
  • EPA Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read basic system diagrams and follow equipment manuals.
  • Comfortable using technology (smartphone/tablet) for job logging.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call occasionally.
