Experienced Payroll-Accounting Clerk

J I. Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support for the Accounting Department. Maintains accounting document files, including daily work and accounts payable. Assists accounting personnel as requested.

II. Essential Job Functions

· Maintains files

· Types a variety of documents, reports and records.

· Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system.

· Prints account payable checks and inserts checks and invoices into envelopes for mailing.

· Matches invoices to receiving documents.

· File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.

· Other job duties as assigned.

· Assist with Monthly Inventory

IV. Education/Experience/Skills Required

· Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, A.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

· Knowledge of related computer applications.

· Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures.

· Payroll experience preferred

· Attentive to detail and accuracy

· Oracle experience is a must

· Ability to read, writes, speak and understand English well.

· Accurate computer entry skills.

· Strong organizational ability.

· Cooperative and willing to assist others.

· Valid Driver's License.

V. Physical Requirements

· Job requires lifting of product/supplies ranging from minimal to 15 pounds on occasional basis, and may periodically require it throughout a production shift.

· Individual will be required to be mobile, with bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
