Job Description
Sewing Machine Operator
1st shift 7:30am -4pm
pay rate $13-15 DOE
As a Sewing Machine Operator, your responsibility will be to utilize various sewing machines and move material from one section to the other for maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining sewing machines to repair and assemble various textile products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate One-Step Automatic Machines (Labels, Flushing, Snaps, Grommets, and Bag Sealing).
- Retrieve and/or distribute materials as needed.
- Perform regular maintenance on sewing machines to ensure they function properly.
- Perform Bartack Operations with Guides.
- Perform Serger Operations with Guides.
- Perform Single Need Operations with Guides.
- Perform Manual Operations such as Folding, Packing, Marking and Turning.
- Keep an organized work area and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Inspect finished products to meet quality standards.
- Meet Production/Quality Standard consistently.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator or similar role.
- Ability to follow and understand written and/or verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of fabric types and sewing techniques.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods while maneuvering various objects/supplies.
- Ability to thread machines, change/thread bobbin, and change the needle.
