Job Description

Tax Accountant (Public Accounting)Location: Broomall, PA

We're partnered with an independent Pennsylvania CPA firm providing tax, accounting, audit, and business advisory services to mid-market, family-owned businesses across Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties, and Philadelphia. The Senior Tax Accountant prepares and reviews complex tax returns, advises clients directly on tax matters, and provides senior-level support to the firm's tax practice.

What you'll do:

Prepare and review complex tax returns for a mix of business and individual clients
Research tax questions and advise clients directly on tax planning and compliance issues
Perform financial reviews and compilations under the supervision of a manager
Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and other special-purpose frameworks
Perform bookkeeping functions for clients, including monthly close
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
2–4 years of public accounting experience in tax
CPA license or actively pursuing
Working knowledge of QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, and CCH Axcess Engagement
Strong workpaper documentation and client communication skills
Ability to work independently with senior-level autonomy
