Job Description:

Essentia Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to serve at St. Mary's hospital in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. This employee typically works 24 hours weekly on day shift. However, this is a flex position, and hours may be increased or decreased without notice based on the needs of the facility. Shifts are Monday through Friday and can be 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and 8:30 am to 5 pm. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. A $3000 sign-on incentive is available for qualifying applicants. We are currently only seeking candidates who have experience working in sterile processing.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for the reprocessing of reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment for use in surgery and throughout various nursing units. Plays a vital role in ensuring clean, safe, sterile instruments and equipment are available to hospital staff for use in patient care.

Wage Range:

• Tech I (non-certified): $18.16-$27.24 based on experience.

• Tech II (certified): $19.28-$28.92 based on experience.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Tech I: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within 2 years of hire.

• Tech II: Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

• Prior experience in sterile processing is required.
